The Space Between Two Doors
Starting in my grandparents seperated two bed rooms, I photographed various sites of my childhood and youth within one entire working week. In this week I met my Stepsister for the first time, which I have not seen since. I documented my two younger step brothers and met my Dads new partner. At the same time I am revisiting places of my own childhood. Places I have been and places I remembered. This series happens between two doors, significantly in front of the camera.
This work was created on the occasion of the Hamburg Triennial of Photography, held from June 18th to June 25th 2015 and was part of the Magnum Photos workshop with Antoine D’Agata.
